StoryLines 1.0.2

StoryLines 1.0.2

StoryLines Cropped

Today marks the release of StoryLines 1.0.2 on the web and both app stores! This is a smaller release, with only a couple of small bug fixes. Actually, did we say “only”? There’s one other change, and it’s not so small. We’ve also introduced translations of the UI into several languages that aren’t English – with more to come as we discover there’s an interest in them! Without further ado, here they are:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • French
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Spanish

In addition to the new languages, we already mentioned bug fixes, so here they are as well:

  • Fixed a problem where books would only show up if they were part of a series
  • Fixed a rendering issue that made the Nicknames block of the Character Creation/Edit screen block everything else on the screen

Notice anything else we should fix? Reach out on our Contact page at the top of this post!

No idea what we’re talking about, here? Check out the Coming Soon post or the app’s info page (both have the same content, so pick whichever you prefer).

    • And much more!

We’ll make another announcement when the app officially releases for both Android and iOS later this month, so keep your eyes peeled. We’re a bit disappointed we couldn’t release before NaNoWriMo actually started, but better late than never, right? We’ve been hard at work on all the features, even using the app ourselves internally to track our own NaNo projects. We can’t wait to share it with the world!

As a side note, while the app itself is free, and all the current features will stay that way forever, some of the upcoming features use intellectual property of other creators, so we may have to charge for access to those parts of the app. We’ll do everything we can to keep prices as low as possible for users. But we don’t want to add paid features later and surprise anyone, so we wanted to let you know they were coming right up front.
